Fighting Disinformation With Humour

CrankyCartoons exists because Canadian politics has gotten weird — and sometimes the only sane response is to laugh at it.

We create animated political cartoons and sharp commentary that cut through the spin, call out the hypocrisy, and remind Canadians what's actually at stake. We're not affiliated with any party, funded by any corporation, or beholden to any advertiser. Just one very cranky canuck with a drawing tablet and a point to make.

Since 2022, we've been documenting the rise of Canadian conservatism, the spread of American-style disinformation north of the border, and the politicians who exploit it — with humour, facts, and just enough snark to make you share it.

Humour lowers defenses and opens minds. We use it to make serious political commentary accessible to everyone.

We're funded entirely by readers and viewers. That means we answer to you — not advertisers, not party donors.

Cranky Canuck is the culmination of billions of progressive tears frozen into an angry iceball of truth, rage & humour. My mission is to dismantle fascist lies & narratives, exposing their toxicity with impactful cartoons for the masses. With ice-cold truth and humour, it’s time the left stands up to these bullies in a way they understand.

Based in Canada, CrankyCartoons has been producing original political satire since 2022 — calling out hypocrisy, fighting disinformation, and doing it all with Canadian humour and a very strong opinion about Pierre Poilievre.
